The best part about being a photographer are all of the gorgeous people I get the pleasure to take pictures of and Emily was no exception. This is why I love what I do. I love getting to bring out the natural beauty in someone. That is also why I try to keep my Photoshop editing down to a minimum. Besides covering up a pimple every now and then, most of my editing time is devoted to getting the lighting how I want it. That's it.
I have seen time after time of gorgeous photos developed by photographers in Photoshop, but there is just something so beautiful to me about a natural, organic picture. I guess you can call it my "style." I have also seen too much the impact that altering the face or body of a subject has had on women, and even men. When I first started this journey I told myself I would never alter a subject because it is ultimately our uniqueness that makes us beautiful, not the standards of society.
I do have to say that I was absolutely shocked how great these turned out when I started editing. I love getting to see how my work is slowly starting to develop and look more professional. Creating beautiful, professional pictures has always been a goal of mine and I hope I can continue to learn and grow.
