The McNatt Family | Portraits | Bienville Square
Growth is REAL, but it doesn’t happen over night. If you were to ask me where my journey started, it would have to be with this sweet family. I was nineteen, a sophomore in college who had just gotten my media kit (a Nikon D3300 and two lenses) for my major at Spring Hill. At the time I was mostly taking pictures of my pets and of my siblings, then one day Ms. Becky sends me a text asking me to take some family portraits for her. Of course I agreed. Although very inexperienced and still learning, Ms. Becky gave me a chance that others didn’t. She believed in me.
Three years later I was able to take their family portraits again, but this time as a family of four. As always, the Mcnatt's are such easy subjects to photograph. Not afraid of the camera and so outgoing. I was really hoping the tree in Bienville would be up for their pictures, unfortunately the City of Mobile has postponed it until the end of November. Even though we didn't have a tree, you can still get a feel for the Christmas magic in the photographs.
To make it even better, Santa even photo bombed a few. Talk about perfect timing! The kids were fantastic and their youngest, Wesley, was absolutely amazed by all the squirrels in Bienville, which you will most definitely be able to see in the gallery below. The only thing missing from this session was some sunshine, but even without it I still love the images we got!
