The question I get asked most often, "why Celeste McKinley?" No, my first name is not Celeste and my last name is not McKinley.
Celeste McKinley is actually a combination of mine and my husband's middle names. Maegan Celeste and Garrett McKinley.
We made up this business name when were 16 years old, so when I decided to rebrand, I knew Celeste McKinley had to be it!
WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
Hello there! I know everyone always says it, but I really do love my job. I love meeting new people and I love making visions come to life. I started charging for photos in 2018 and by the summer of 2019 I got my LLC, become an official business, quit my full time job, and shot my first weddings that Fall. It's been the craziest, but most fun adventure since!
If you couldn't tell from the pictures above, I am a huge Star Wars fan. I love all things Disney and love watching Anime while I edit. I am an avid fantasy reader and hope one day to write my own fantasy novel. I'm a little weird and love people who are a little weird too!
I graduated from Spring Hill College in 2018 (Go Badgers!) with a Bachelor's in Communications and a concentration in Public Relations and Advertising. Before I went full time photographer, I actually worked for two years at a local credit union as their Marketing Director.
I got married to my husband (Garrett) in 2018 who I have slowly trained to be the best content husband to get all of my cute fits and pictures for insta. We were supposed to be a Husband and Wife team (which is why I rebranded), but COVID changed our plans. You will still see him periodically helping me shoot weddings or managing the business when he has time.
By the end of 2023 I will have shot over 150 weddings which is honestly INSANE. I still can't believe It some days.
